Good Morning World & Have a Good Week... It's me, Andy here again... sort of.

What's going on w/ all? I show up here years later to find I've been spewing spam!

So sorry. I'm back semi conscious again enough to have deleted the 6000 or so of them that were on the site.

I should add...

Be Safe Out There.

DEATH DAY #2

Death Day 2.

It was 4 MAR 2012 just minutes ago, but we processed slowly then...

Everywhere Danny Weiss is with me like a shadow just around a corner.

Or sometimes hard like a punch in the chest.

Fwd: TAPS: 9-11 Remembrance

Dear Friends and Family,

In case you may have missed this, I participated in the series Invisible Casualties this week.

Today is a day when the thread of all our lives 12 years ago for a brief moment was in contact with each other. However the world has turned since, I am still struck with  the strength of those who chose service, including our precious son, Danny... TAPS says it better than I could below.

With love and respect to all, especially those of you who have chosen a life of service...

Andy & Julianne

A sunny September morning; we awoke to begin a new day.  Before the day was over, a nation was forever changed.

Images of the day are still fresh, twelve years later. Images of smoke and flames, of confusion and dread, images of bravery and heroism.  Our nation was shaken, yet our nation stood strong.

Much has been said and much will continue to be said about the events of September 11, 2001.  We search to find words to express what is in our hearts and minds.  We search for words to honor those who perished and those who went into harm's way to help their fellow man.

It is in the lives of those who died, of those who answered the call to action, and those who, because of the events of that day, have chosen to serve our nation that speak far more than we possibly could.

They are fathers, mothers, sisters, and brothers. They are husbands, wives, and children.  They are our loves, our friends, our heroes.

Statue of Liberty
On that day, the world witnessed the true fabric of America, the spirit and resolve of its people.  It is that spirit we commemorate.  It is that spirit we carry forward.

Today and always, we remember.

With Care and Love,

From Your TAPS Family

To Friends & Family Grieving with Us...

Dear Family and Friends,

It's now 10 weeks since Danny died. We have good moments and bad moments that come and go in waves. We are ok. We are not ok. Some days are ok, some are not.

We are trying to focus on what's in front of us. We are getting through each day with the help of each other. We are eating, walking, paying bills and doing all the other things needed to find a balance in the new normal of our lives. We are ok. We are not ok.

Many people feel awkward not knowing what to do around us, how to act. It has been a strange trajectory for family and friends who offer what they are able to offer. It is a new learning curve for us all. There is no wrong way. Thank you to all who have tried your best to reach out to us. I know it's not easy.

The Arlington National Cemetery date is 7 weeks away (July 6th). For those who can come to honor & celebrate my son's life, we have a block of rooms at a special rate at the Arlington Hyatt.
Please follow this link:  Arlington Hyatt Weiss Memorial or call 888-421-1442 or 402-592-6464 referring to the Weiss Memorial. You'll still be responsible for you own bill but a discounted rate will apply. The cut-off for the rate is June 5th. After that, prevailing rates will apply.

If you've already booked, we'll move you to the list.

We will let you know of the reception to follow in the area. There is an event listing on Facebook with a link as well

Please feel free to share this as you think best.

Warm regards and love,

Andy
